La Double vie de Véronique/The Double Life of Veronique (1991, Krzysztof Kieslowski)

Rating: 4/4 stars, 10/10, 100/100
Rank: #1 (Top Favorites)
This is one of the most wonderfully crafted films of all time. Good in every way: use of symbolism, acting, directing, story.
Irène Jacob's performance is beyond incredible, setting herself perfectly both as the bouncy Polish Weronika and the staid, questioning French Véronique.
I do not like plotless stories. Luckily this movie has a point though. I think it is the discovery of self and others and of life. It is a joy to watch this film.
