Most Jane Austen fans dismiss Elinor Dashwood as a silly, unrealistic character. However, there is no character on the face of this earth that is more like me. I see through her eyes and feel what she feels. I have friends like Marianne Dashwood, the over-exuberant sister played by Kate Winslet.
